Parents and supporters,
Wow! What an amazing game! The support was overwhelming. Our players really were amazed at all the folks that showed up in Magnolia. It made a huge difference. Thanks to all of you that travelled and also to all of you that listened. We truly are blessed to have such great support.
Our players of the game are as follows:
Offense: Logan Lands, Chance Keith, Austin Blue, Andrew Gray, Josh Barnhill, and Dave Fair
Defense: Kyle Davis
Special Teams: Caleb Hartwig, Justin Johnson, and Kyle Davis
We had several players lay it all on the field Friday night. I am very proud to be coaching young men that continually overcome adversity. This truly is a special group that is hungry to do something very special. They are not finished!
I would like to welcome you to join me and the team for the first ever playoff dinner. Couches and the QB Club will be feeding our team Wednesday at 6:00pm in the high school cafeteria. After dinner we will be showing a highlight video and a guest speaker will bring a message. Our speaker will be giving a devotional and a word of encouragement to the GCT Family. I will be sharing some very valuable information about our team and the upcoming events. I will be speaking about players and coaches. You will also get to hear from a few of our very own. You won't want to miss it! This will be a great opportunity for our football team and our supporters to fellowship together and have a good time. Please come out and enjoy the evening with us. The dinner will conclude around 7:30. Everyone is welcome!
Thank you and may God continue to bless our football program,
Jeff Conaway

The New Season Begins...
Playoffs...there is a new excitement at GCT this week. Our boys are fired up and are hungry to keep the season rolling. There is not anyone associated with this team that is satisfied. I hope you are not either. We want to win and continue winning! Please help us out. We need support more now than we ever had in the past. There will be a QB Club meeting tonight at 6:00 in the high school cafeteria. Also, I will be posting the itinerary after the meeting. The Eagles are in the business of doing something very special this year...please help us accomplish our goals.

The Battle of the Bell
GCT Family,
Week 10 is already here! It seems as though the season has really gone by quickly. I am grateful for the success that we have had so far. God has been good to the football team this year. I would like to thank all of those that traveled to Batesville Friday night. That was a record crowd. I also want to thank the coaches and players for their continued focus on "The Goal". However, this week carries significant value. We have an opportunity to tie the school record for wins in a season, to make the playoffs for the first time since 1991, and to bring the bell back to its rightful owners! We need every one's support this week as we prepare for and play on Friday.
Go Eagles!

Conference season begins...
I would like to encourage all of our fans and supporters to make the trip to Forrest City this Friday. We are going to need a big, noisy crowd. I have been very pleased with our team. I believe our seniors are really stepping up and leading this team the right way. I know that this team is very serious about doing something special this year. Don't miss out. Come and join the fun.
Standrick Williams was our offensive player of the game last week against Pocahontas recording 291 yards on 25 carries. He also scored 3 touchdowns. TJ Underwood was the defensive player of the game with 9 tackles and 3 tackles for loss. Dale Johnson won the special teams award with his perfect 4 of 4 PAT performance. Our hitman award goes to Caleb Hartwig for his big hit. Caleb has shown a whole new way of blocking this season and continues to lead the way for our yards on the ground. Congrats to our top performers last Friday night and we hope to see you all this Friday.

What a week...
I am very proud of our team for the week 1 victory last Friday night! I cannot express how grateful I am to my staff, players, fans, and supporters. It was great to see all of the hard work pay off. I believe our game plan worked to perfection. We anticipated a very physical, intense football game and that is what we got. Our team believed that we could win the game in the 4th quarter if we stuck to our plan. What a testiment to conditioning and strength training during the summer. I am so proud of those players that did not miss a Flying Eagles workout.
As good as last week was, we are again anticipating another fun Friday night at our place this week. Highland will be a much improved football team on a mission to get their first victory of the season. We must remain focused and practice and play fast and physical. I want to make Friday night an unbelievable environment! We need lots of help to make this happen. Please find ways to volunteer on Friday night. Let's go get us another W!

Introducing our new website...
I would like to thank Pinnacle Preps for the design and setup of our new football website. It looks great! We are really going to enjoy this website and all the things that they offer. I would also like to remind everyone of the NEA Passing Academy held at Jonesboro High School this Saturday at 9:00am. This will be very similar to our own Passing Camp that we held last July. I would like to take as many QB's and WR's as possible. Camp fee is $25. Thanks and enjoy our website.
